Runoffs 5K and Checkered Flag Dash Prizes

Those participating in the second annual SCCA® Runoffs® 5K and Checkered Flag Dash at Indianapolis Motor Speedway will once again have the opportunity to win some incredible door prizes!


Similar to last year's inaugural event, several racing themed companies have shown their support for the event and donated items to draw for. All participants and volunteers are eligible to win!


What do we have to offer this year?  How about a set of race tires from both Hoosier and Goodyear? Or a free axle set of brake pads from Hawk Performance?  Don't need brakes or tires? OK! We have gas!  Sunoco has donated gift cards, as has Summit Racing, and Carbotech.  Still not satisfied? Speedway Indoor Karting has donated a gift basket. Swiftwick has provided us with technical running socks, SCCA is giving away two annual memberships, and Alliance Autosport and Mobil 1 are giving away some swag.

Taking the green flag at 6:30 p.m., the 5K course includes running/walking almost an entire lap on the world's most famous track! The one-mile Checkered Flag Dash fun run/walk will precede the 5K at 6:00 p.m. In support of September being Childhood Cancer Awareness month, all proceeds from the event will benefit the Riley Children’s Hospital, as well as the Maxton’s Fight Foundation.

After crossing the finish line, runners/walkers will enjoy food and beverages during the awards ceremony. Participants in the 5K will be entered into the raffle, as well as volunteers helping to make the run/walk possible.


Registration for the event is now open online here. A discounted entry is available for teams of three or more, and we are still in need of about 10 more volunteers to help direct runners on course and hand out water cups.
